RIOS

The hot topic for the print and online media with their usual lynch mob mentality.

Those who have followed movalnews.com know that we have opposed this fellow since day one while other bloggers and so called civic leaders were singing his praise. We opposed his run for city council and the following recall effort.  That he got more votes in 2010 for school board than any of the other candidates is testimony to the insight of the moval electorate.   These are the same folks that almost always vote in favor of more taxes and bigger government.

Let's look at this case with something other than emotion. First he was arrested for attempted murder, the public information being that he was followed to his home by two people with whom he had just fought.   Seems in this case self defense would be justifiable.   Looking at the following charges, it's interesting and a bit unusual that he's charged with crimes that allegedly occured on November 1st 2011 and not arrested until five months later. It's also interesting that all 11 felonies allegedly occurred on the same day.

As the justus process develops we should soon learn how the evidence of these alleged crimes was discovered.  The court will decide if the process was proper and if not.................... guess who walks.

The school board adds fuel to the fire and increases the liability of the taxpayers by trying to punish the defendant before he is convicted.  If he isn't convicted we can expect a major law suit and lots of taxpayer dollars paid to Rios rather than being spent on education.

Moval news takes no position on his guilt or innocence, but has always considered him a con artist.  Such shenanigans as impersonating a city councilman should get the attention of us all.    We predict he will go for a jury trial and then all he has to do is con one jurror and he's free.  If he can fool an entire school district into thinking he's the best candidate for school board, convincing one juror should be a cake walk for him.      OJO!!!

Gang Rape and Murders In Moreno Valley

While The "leaders" wring their hands and close the gate after the horse escaped, they ignore the solution to Moreno Valley crime that has been around for centuries

    Luke 22:36-38 (Instructions by Jesus)

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY LIBERTARIAN PARTY BACKS PLAN TO

                       END REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES IN CALIFORNIA

At a general meeting on February 10, 2011 the Riverside County Committee of The Libertarian Party adopted the following resolution:

In California the cost of government programs has outgrown the ability and willingness of the people to pay for them. Year after year, the Sacramento politicians resort to accounting tricks, illicit borrowing and ‘temporary’ tax  hikes to create the illusion of a balanced budget.

Governor Jerry Brown’s call for 12.5 billion dollars in spending cuts may point to a change in direction. Libertarians applaud Governor Brown’s call to close down all of the more than 425 community redevelopment agencies in California.

Redevelopment agencies have stood in the way of natural economic growth, rewarding favored developers with taxpayer funded subsidies.

The Riverside County Libertarian Party supports and end to community redevelopment agencies in California and we endorse Governor Brown’s proposal to bring this about..

Criminal charges? That's what a local attorney spoke of when the council voted to fund a low income housing project after the developer donated 40,000 to the mayors failed reelection campaign.

None Dare Call It Entrapment - Warn Your Friends

A minor under the age of 18 years old was sent into various locations throughout the Jurupa Valley area, under constant supervision, to purchase spray paint. If the cashier sold the spray paint to the minor, they were issued a citation for selling spray paint to a minor. After the decoy left the premises, County Code Enforcement Officers entered the location to look for other violations regarding the proper storage of the paint and signs indicating the minimum age of 18 years to purchase paint. If the location selling the items was in violation, the business was cited for the violation(s).
